Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a CDP Baker for shipboard bakery operations in the UAE. The role requires at least two years of CDP baker experience and a culinary school degree. You will lead a diverse team, monitor daily production, and ensure bread quality and presentation for daily menus.

You will forecast production, minimize waste, manage costs, and ensure strict adherence to USPH rules and shipboard policies. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience as a CDP Baker in upscale settings or shipboard.
• A culinary school degree is required.
• Strong management, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution abilities.
• Knowledge of service standards, guest satisfaction and quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and control of bakery shop and daily production according to policies.
• Direct, coach, supervise and evaluate bakery staff with Head Baker.
• Oversee production, quality and presentation of bread for daily menus.
• Prepare production forecasts and minimize waste to control costs.
• Set up bread displays and supervise shop cleanliness according to schedule.
• Maintain compliance with USPH rules and shipboard health standards.
• Assist with reporting, attendance, and timesheets; prepare operational recaps.
