Job summary

Parker Consult is hiring a Lead Accountant in Dubai to handle financial statements, monthly closings, and financial analysis. The role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, internal controls, and clear communication in English.

You will prepare management and statutory reports, support regional finance with MIS analyses, and liaise with the Regional Finance Manager – MEIR. 3–6 years’ experience and SAP proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• CA/CA Inter preferable.
• 3–6 years of experience in accounting/finance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements including management and statutory reports.
• Prepare management and statutory reports as required for reviews.
• Prepare reports for internal distribution and for management team.
• Deliver oral presentations to varied audiences and communicate financial concepts clearly.
• Perform monthly closing activities for the region, including journal entries.
• Reconcile sub ledgers and intercompany accounts; monitor receivables and payables.

An MNC in Freezone is looking to hire a Lead Accountant in Dubai

This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing moderate to complex financial analysis, projects & reports. Strong understanding and experience with US GAAP and creating strong Internal Controls is required. Additionally, communication skills are critical ensuring major points are conveyed in a clear and succinct manner. The position reports to Regional Finance Manager – MEIR.

Major Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing financial statements including management and statutory reports.
• Preparing management and statutory reports, as and when required for reviews
• Preparing reports for internal distribution
• Draft/prepare comprehensive reports for the management team
• Deliver oral presentations to varied audiences
• Effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial audiences
• Have excellent command of English language to clearly communicate the message
• Analyze MIS reports and prepare reports to the management.
• Analyze past financial performance and consider emerging trends in developing recommended course of action
• Use innovation to develop a range of alternation solutions to complex accounting problems
• Decide and follow through on course of action
• Responsible for performing monthly closing activities/reporting
• Monthly closing of accounts for the region which included preparing, approving or posting journal entries,
• Monitoring receivable- ensure proper follow up/collection
• Monitoring payable
• Processing payroll
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Sub ledger reconciliation
• Standard cost revaluation during the year end
• Responsible for evaluating and implementing new processes with improved internal controls
• Suggest improvements to internal processes to strengthen internal controls
• Liaises efficiently

Other requirements

• Experience in Letter of credit- documentation/processing
• Advance knowledge of excel
• Working experience in SAP

Specifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

Masters Degree preferable, not a must
