Gardinia Contracting, a leading Dubai-based contractor, seeks a Site Engineer to oversee landscape works on-site from soft to hard landscaping, ensuring adherence to designs, specs, and timelines. The role covers irrigation, material approvals, and safety compliance within a busy project environment.

The candidate will review drawings, supervise crews, and coordinate with design teams to resolve on-site queries, contributing to Dubai’s iconic developments and luxury landscapes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, Horticulture, or related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant site engineering experience in landscape/softscape and hardscape projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC region.
• Knowledge of landscape construction methods, plant species suitable for the region, irrigation system design, and hardscape material specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day landscape construction activities on-site, including hardscaping and softscaping.
• Review and interpret landscape drawings, shop drawings, and specifications; coordinate with design and consultant teams.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor work progress against the project timeline; report delays and propose recovery measures.
• Coordinate irrigation system installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure materials meet approved specifications; conduct material inspections and approvals.
• Supervise subcontractors and labor teams; allocate resources efficiently across landscape zones.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections; raise and close snags/NCRs.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and site safety protocols during all landscape operations.
• Maintain accurate site records: daily reports, material reconciliation, progress photographs, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with MEP, civil, and other trade teams to avoid clashes and ensure integrated execution.
