Land Surveyor Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Land Surveyor to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The Land Surveyor will be responsible for performing accurate surveys to measure land boundaries, locations, elevations and other features of the land. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Land Surveyor will be responsible for:

• Collecting data from aerial photographs or other sources.
• Accurately identifying land features such as contours, boundaries, topography, etc.
• Measuring distances, angles and other features with surveying instruments such as theodolites and transits.
• Analyzing field notes and drafting maps that correctly represent survey results.
• Calculating site elevations and preparing topographical maps using specialized software.
• Participating in meetings with clients to discuss project objectives.
• Ensuring that projects are completed within the required budget and deadlines.
• Maintaining accurate records of survey results and other relevant documents.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

• A degree in surveying or a related field such as engineering or geography is essential; additional certifications are desirable but not necessary
• At least three years of experience in a similar role; immigrant candidates with minimal work experience will be considered
• Familiarity with surveying instruments like GPS systems, total stations, levelers; knowledge of AutoCAD is beneficial
