Job summary

A premier hotel in Ras al-Khaimah is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Technician to maintain kitchen equipment and ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with steam engines and generators, be proactive, and focus on customer satisfaction. This role includes responding to equipment breakdowns and performing preventive maintenance. A licensed high/low pressure boiler operator qualification is required.

As a Kitchen Technician you are responsible for all the Kitchen equipment's maintenance as instructed by the General Mechanical Supervisor while adhering to Hotel policies and procedures. Your role will include key responsibilities such as:

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and serviced to avoid breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete the turnover quickly and efficiently to satisfy and meet Guest needs.
• Respond to breakdowns of equipment and be available in case of emergency, applying the appropriate action as per Hotel policy and standards.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and colleagues’ health and safety, as well as conserve the environment.
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

You should ideally be a licensed high / low pressure boiler operator with previous experience in a similar role and a proven knowledge of the operation of equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and/or steam boilers. A good command of English and the ability to find fault and rectify subsystems are essentials.
