Role Overview
The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young learners. This role involves delivering high-quality Early Years instruction, fostering creativity, and supporting children’s holistic development in alignment with GEMS Education standards and KHDA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Learning - Deliver engaging, play‑based lessons aligned with the Early Years curriculum to support holistic child development.
- Classroom Management - Create and maintain a safe, positive, and well‑organized learning environment that encourages independence and respectful behavior.
- Student Support - Monitor each child’s progress and provide targeted support to meet individual learning and developmental needs.
- Collaboration & Professionalism - Work closely with colleagues and leadership while participating in meetings and ongoing professional development.
- Parent Engagement - Build strong relationships with parents through consistent communication and regular updates on student progress.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certification
- Teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, CACHE Level 3 or equivalent).
- KHDA approval (or ability to obtain it).
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years teaching experience in an Early Years / Kindergarten setting (preferably in the UAE).
- Experience with EYFS, play‑based learning, and inquiry‑driven classrooms.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Warm, patient, and child‑centered approach.
- Strong classroom‑management abilities.
