Job Description
Purpose
  • To engage with UAE healthcare payers and providers, leveraging local expertise to share critical market insights, foresee dynamics in HC system, uncover unmet needs, and tailor key account strategies that enhance AbbVie performance across the entire portfolio.
  • To ensure that patient interests remain at the forefront, acting with full adherence to AbbVie standards, ethical codes, and all applicable UAE regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Develop deep understanding of business opportunities, complexities, and decision‑making processes across the key accounts.
  • Communicate anticipated payer decision‑making drivers and identify unmet needs to the brand teams, supporting a comprehensive analysis of the situation.
  • Provide insights, feedback, and market intelligence that can help brand teams to anticipate and prepare for future.
  • Establish strong and strategic partnerships with payers to identify potential access barriers and align with the objectives of the account.
  • Negotiate, finalize, and enhance contracting and tendering outcomes for improved product access.
  • Create tailored strategies and engagement plans for each account, establishing clear objectives and actions to optimize the access to AbbVie’s products.
  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of activities and key account performance to consistently enhance the impact on the bottom line.
  • Develop and deliver impactful presentations and business reviews to the internal key stakeholders.
  • Build detailed account plans, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate business meetings, workshops, and training sessions for the account stakeholders.
  • Track market trends, new policies, and regulations affecting HC access and reimbursement.
  • Foster continuous improvement by gathering feedback from accounts and driving actionable change internally.
Qualifications
  • UAE National with Family Book
  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated success and proven track record in sales or as a Key Account Manager within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Expertise in translating strategic direction into actionable, practical engagement plans for key accounts.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience to motivate and coordinate with the cross‑functional teams.
  • Advanced skills in negotiating, finalizing, and signing contracts with key accounts, as well as managing complex customer networks.
  • Excellent analytical, business planning, and financial skills.
  • Solid foundation in pharmaco‑economic principles.
  • Deep understanding of payer and provider drivers, behaviors, and perspectives in the UAE HC environment.
Key Stakeholders
  • External: Networks of local key decision makers, payers, HC Providers, Public HC Sectors, HTA’s, Academic associations.
  • Internal: In-field teams, Brand Team, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Customer Excellence, Market Access, Finance, Communications.
