The Junior Project Manager will support the successful planning, execution, and closure of various projects across the organization. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager or Department Head, this role is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to develop their project management skills by taking ownership of specific project tasks and smaller initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning Support: Assist in defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines. Help develop detailed project plans and schedules.
- Coordination & Communication: Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, team members, and vendors. Schedule and lead project status meetings.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress against the plan, identify potential risks, and help develop mitigation strategies. Prepare regular project status reports for management.
- Documentation & Organization: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, meeting minutes, resource plans, and change requests.
- Task Management: Assign and monitor specific project tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Resource Management: Assist in coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience (1-3 years) working in a project-focused environment or as a Project Coordinator/Junior Project Manager.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a strong advantage. Certification (e.g., CAPM) is a bonus.
- Proficiency with project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills in English.
