Job summary

Worley is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to support the Project Management and Engineering teams in planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and reporting of Oil & Gas projects in the UAE. The role provides exposure to engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls while ensuring compliance with HSE standards, quality procedures, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience.
• Minimum 2 years in GCC region.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Project Engineers in day-to-day project coordination and execution activities.
• Assist in coordinating activities between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, HSE, QA/QC, and other project disciplines.
• Monitor project activities, deliverables, schedules, action items, and interfaces and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in reviewing engineering documents, drawings, technical submissions, specifications, and project procedures.
• Participate in project progress, technical, coordination, and interface meetings and maintain action trackers.
• Support preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports and presentations.
• Assist in monitoring engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning progress against the approved project schedule.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal departments to obtain required project information and resolve routine issues.
• Support management of technical queries, RFIs, document reviews, correspondence, and project documentation.
• Assist in identifying project risks, constraints, delays, and interface issues and elevate them to the responsible Project Engineer.
• Support site activities, inspections, construction coordination, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities as required.
• Ensure activities are performed in accordance with approved project procedures, HSE requirements, quality standards, and applicable ADNOC/client requirements.
• Maintain proper records, trackers, reports, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in technical and professional development programs as part of the UAE National development initiative.

Job Purpose

Qualification & Experience

A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of three (3+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry including minimum two (2) years in GCC region.
