Junior Process Engineer – Oil & Gas: Design & Start-up

Job summary

Worley in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Junior Process Engineer to support process engineering activities for Oil & Gas projects across design, engineering, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.

You will assist senior engineers in developing process designs, ensure compliance with project specs, HSE, and ADNOC requirements, and work with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation and other disciplines to deliver safe, efficient systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3+ years of Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience, GCC region preferred.
• Experience with process safety studies and HSE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation and review of PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, process philosophies, and engineering calculations.
• Assist in process simulations, heat and material balances, hydraulic calculations, line sizing, and equipment sizing.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil, HSE, and other engineering disciplines.
• Assist in developing process requirements for vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, separators, and other process equipment.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, design reviews, and other process safety studies under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including system checks, start-up preparations, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain process engineering calculations, technical records, document registers, and action trackers.
