Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 3 years of structural engineering experience; internship or coursework in precast is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, ETABS, SAFE or Concise Beam; Excel for calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preliminary structural calculations for standard precast concrete members.
• Run models to determine bending moments, shear, deflection and strand layouts.
• Perform basic connection design calculations including weld plates and anchor bolts.
• Review shop drawings, BBS and strand pattern drawings for accuracy.
• Model precast components and lifting anchors in Tekla Structures or AutoCAD.
• Help compile calculation packages and submittal files for consultant review.
• Check production drawings against bed layouts to identify casting issues.
• Perform quality checks on reinforcement cages and tensioning setups.
