Job summary

NCO is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role supports the mechanical design team, contributing to drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for building services projects.

You will assist senior engineers with design coordination, gaining practical experience in a consultancy setting while working on HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems and coordinating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience in mechanical design or related projects (internships or co-op helpful).
• Familiarity with mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
• Proficiency in drafting and modeling mechanical systems.
• Basics of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and drafting of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping) using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
• Perform basic calculations like heat load, pressure drop, and flow rates.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical designs.
• Participate in field inspections and data collection; assist commissioning of systems.
• Collaborate with electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
