Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred but not required.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Must hold a valid biometric passport for travel purposes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills.
• Passion for books, reading, and lifelong learning.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily circulation duties including checking materials in and out, shelving books, and collecting fines.
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service to patrons, answering questions and assisting with locating materials.
• Help maintain the organization and appearance of the library by re-shelving books and keeping shelves tidy.
• Conduct basic reference interviews to determine patrons' information needs and recommend appropriate resources.
• Assist with collection development by identifying popular topics and recommending new materials for purchase.
• Support library programs and events, such as storytimes or book clubs, by helping with set-up, clean-up, and promotion.
• Perform basic technology troubleshooting for patrons using library computers or printers.
