Job summary

Italian Shoe Factory in Dubai, UAE, is seeking a Junior Footwear Designer to join the Creative Director and product development team, assisting from concept to development.

Responsibilities include CADs, mockups, concept ideation, materials library, trend research, prototypes, and preparing sourcing packages for overseas vendors.

Applicants should have a Footwear Design degree, at least 2 years in footwear design or a strong internship, and proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Corel Draw.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Footwear Design is required.
• At least 2 years of footwear design experience or strong internship equivalent.
• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and Corel Draw.
• Ability to sketch designs by hand and on a computer.
• Knowledge of footwear construction, textiles, patterns and fit from conception to production.
• Strong organization and communication skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Support product development with CADs, mockups and in-house design tasks.

• Research new materials, stocktake and maintain the materials library.
• Participate in consumer and trend research.
• Assist in meetings with prototypes, organize materials, and present color schemes.

Junior Footwear Designer

[Footwear Design Degree and/or Experience A Must, Female’s Preferred]

With three generations of family artistry, design knowledge and experience, Italian Shoe Factory is the foremost manufacturer of bespoke shoes & private label footwear worldwide. As a Junior Footwear Designer, you will be working alongside the Creative Director and product development team to assist them in all aspects of the design process, from conception through to development. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Support product development team with CADs and mockups as well as any in house design tasks
• Assist in concept ideation, sketching, and creation of technical packages/specifications
• Researching new materials, stocktaking and maintaining the materials library
• Participate in consumer and trend research
• Assisting in meetings by handling prototypes, organizing materials, or presenting color schemes
• Create sourcing packages for overseas vendors including materials/trims/hardware
• Assisting in day-to-day administrative tasks & client relations
