Job summary

India Abroad in Sharjah is seeking an entry level accountant to join our team for a contract role. You will assist with data entry, prepare reports, and support the accounting team, gaining hands-on experience in a growing organization.

Bachelor's in Accounting, keen attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel or other accounting software are welcome. English language is not strictly required; open to Indians or Malayalees in Sharjah or willing to relocate for the contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
• Excellent communication skills in English (preferred).
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Prior experience in accounting (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter financial data into the system
• Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
• Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
• Assist with month-end close processes
• Support the accounting team in ad-hoc tasks as needed
