Job summary

Noorka Logistics in Dubai is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join its finance team. This role focuses on bookkeeping, financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting, with daily collaboration with senior staff to maintain accurate records in line with company procedures.

You will gain practical experience in a logistics environment, work with VAT, and support audits, invoices, and month-end closing while upholding confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting software.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and basic tax procedures is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in accounting software.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting financial documents.
• Assist with bank reconciliations.
• Verify invoices, expenses, and payment records for accuracy.
• Maintain organized digital and physical accounting records.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and account summaries.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and support payment follow-ups.
• Assist with VAT and other tax-related documentation.
• Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and administration teams regarding financial records.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documents.
• Identify discrepancies in financial records and report them to senior accounting staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and financial information.
