An established consumer brand with a growing presence across the MENA region is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their finance team.
This is a newly created role, ideal for someone early in their accounting career — whether you’re a recent graduate or have up to 1–2 years of hands‑on experience. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager, supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring smooth, accurate payment and reconciliation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and process supplier invoices accurately and on time
- Match invoices with purchase orders or contracts and ensure proper approvals
- Prepare and process supplier payments (cheques, bank transfers, etc.) in line with company policy
- Verify VAT accuracy and assist with VAT reporting and reconciliation
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
- Maintain up-to-date accounts payable and bookkeeping records
- Support month‑end closing, accruals, and reporting activities
- Assist with audits by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with internal controls
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 0–2 years of accounting or accounts payable experience (open to fresh graduates with internships)
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and payable processes
- Strong Excel skills; exposure to accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP is a plus
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to learn
- English fluency required
