Job summary

A leading restaurant in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Junior Accountant to assist with day-to-day finance operations and compliance. Responsibilities include performing daily sales reconciliations, handling petty cash, and assisting in VAT preparation. The ideal candidate should have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and POS.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily sales reconciliations (POS, cash/credit settlements, tips allocations).
• Handle petty cash and credit card reconciliations.
• Support inventory control and perform month-end count variance checks.
• Assist in monitoring F&B costs, identifying consumption variances.
• Support in VAT preparation and basic corporate tax schedules.
• Assist in accounts payable and receivable: SOA reconciliations, aging follow-up.
• Assist in month-end close.
• Maintain organized documentation and support audit requests.
