Job summary

The Greater Change in Dubai seeks a Joinery Draftsman to produce precise 2D and 3D shop drawings for bespoke furniture and cabinetry. You will translate design concepts into production-ready drawings and coordinate with designers, project managers and production teams to meet specifications and timelines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in joinery or furniture manufacturing, strong AutoCAD skills, and knowledge of UAE codes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Draftsman within joinery, carpentry, furniture manufacturing or a related industry.
• Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of joinery detailing, furniture construction methods and materials.
• Experience producing accurate, high‑quality technical and shop drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.
• Ability to understand architectural/design drawings and convert concepts into production‑ready drawings.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of UAE/local building codes and regulations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and layouts for custom joinery, furniture and cabinetry projects using AutoCAD.
• Interpret architectural and design drawings to develop accurate and practical shop drawings for production.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers and production teams to ensure drawings meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Calculate dimensions and weight limitations and advise on appropriate hardware, finishes and materials.
• Conduct site measurements when required to ensure dimensional accuracy and alignment with approved designs.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from clients, designers or project managers.
• Ensure technical drawings comply with relevant industry standards, company guidelines and project timelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation and drawing revisions throughout the production cycle.
