Job summary

KBR is seeking a highly experienced PMC Project Manager for a major ADNOC Offshore offshore development in Abu Dhabi. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage interfaces among ADNOC Offshore, EPC/EPCI contractors and subcontractors, and drive execution from engineering through handover.

Ideal candidates will have extensive Oil & Gas offshore project experience, senior PMC/PMO background, and strong leadership, risk, and change-management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized university.
• Postgraduate qualification in Engineering/Project Management would be an advantage.
• PMP or equivalent Project Management certification is preferred.
• Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with substantial experience in major offshore projects.
• Proven experience in a senior Project Manager / PMC Project Manager / Project Director-level environment.
• Strong offshore project experience covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, hook-up and commissioning.

Responsibilities

Job Title: PMC Project Manager KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based in contractors office in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.

Job Purpose

The PMC Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management, supervision and successful delivery of a major ADNOC Offshore project, ensuring that the EPC/EPCI contractor executes the project in accordance with ADNOC requirements, approved project objectives, contractual obligations, HSE standards, quality requirements, schedule and budget. The role will provide leadership to the multidisciplinary PMC team and act as a key interface between ADNOC Offshore, EPC/EPCI contractors, subcontractors, vendors and other project stakeholders. Current ADNOC Offshore PMC requirements specifically emphasize leadership of multidisciplinary teams and management across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, offshore installation, commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management & Leadership Provide overall leadership and direction to the PMC project management and multidisciplinary teams. Act as the primary PMC interface with ADNOC Offshore, EPC/EPCI contractors, subcontractors and key stakeholders. Ensure successful delivery of project objectives in accordance with ADNOC requirements and the approved project execution strategy. Establish project priorities, governance, responsibilities and performance expectations. Lead project progress reviews and management meetings with ADNOC Offshore and contractors. Ensure effective coordination and integration between all engineering disciplines and project functions.
• Project Execution Oversee all phases of project execution, including engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, offshore installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and handover. Review and monitor EPC/EPCI contractor performance against approved schedules and project objectives. Ensure engineering deliverables, procurement activities and construction activities are properly coordinated. Monitor critical project milestones and ensure appropriate corrective or recovery measures are implemented when required. Ensure effective management of interfaces between contractors, vendors, engineering teams, fabrication yards, offshore teams and operations. Oversee project completion and handover activities.
• Client & Stakeholder Management Maintain effective working relationships with ADNOC Offshore and all project stakeholders. Provide management with regular updates covering progress, schedule, cost, risks, opportunities and key project issues. Lead the resolution of major technical, contractual, commercial and execution issues. Ensure critical matters requiring management or client intervention are escalated appropriately. Coordinate with contractor management teams to ensure timely decision-making and resolution of project constraints.
• HSE & Quality Demonstrate strong and visible leadership in Health, Safety, Security and Environmental performance. Ensure HSE requirements are incorporated throughout all phases of project execution. Promote a strong safety culture within PMC and contractor organizations. Ensure contractor compliance with project quality requirements, inspection and testing plans and applicable ADNOC requirements. Monitor quality performance and ensure timely resolution of significant quality issues and NCRs. Current PMC requirements specifically highlight HSE leadership and compliance with project quality and inspection/testing requirements.
• Project Controls, Cost & Schedule Maintain overall oversight of project schedule, progress and cost performance. Review and challenge EPC contractor schedules, forecasts, progress measurement and recovery plans. Monitor critical path activities and major milestones. Review project cost forecasts and performance reports. Identify and manage project risks, opportunities, changes and potential claims. Ensure effective management, cost control, forecasting and commercial governance.
• Contracts & Contractor Management Monitor EPC/EPCI contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Review contractor progress, deliverables and performance against agreed KPIs and milestones. Support the assessment of variations, orders, claims and contractual matters. Ensure timely identification and mitigation of contractual and commercial risks. Coordinate with Contracts and Commercial teams on major contractual issues.

• Strong offshore project experience covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, hook-up and commissioning.
• Experience with offshore facilities such as platforms/wellhead towers, offshore pipelines, process facilities and brownfield/greenfield modifications is highly desirable.
• Proven experience managing large multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
• Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, cost management, risk management and change management.
• Strong contractual and commercial awareness with experience managing EPC/EPCI contractors and subcontractors.
• In-depth understanding of applicable international Oil & Gas engineering standards, codes and industry practices.
• Excellent client-facing, leadership, communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
