KBR is seeking a Contracts Manager for an Offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on post-award contract administration, commercial management, and ADNOC Offshore compliance.

Responsibilities include leading contract administration for EPC packages, managing variations and EOTs, and advising project teams on contractual rights and liabilities. A strong Oil & Gas EPC/PMC background is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; required for role.
  • Extensive experience in Contracts/Commercial Management within Oil & Gas EPC/PMC.
  • Strong post-award contract administration experience for major EPC contracts.
  • Knowledge of contract terms, obligations, liabilities, notices, claims, and change management.
  • Experience evaluating variations, EOTs, delay/disruption claims, and contractor claims.
  • Experience on offshore Oil & Gas projects is highly desirable.
  • ADNOC Offshore PMC or EPC project experience is advantageous.
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and EPC execution.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and multiple EPC contractors.
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract risk-management.

  • Act as PMC focal point for contractual matters between Client, PMC, and EPC contractors.
  • Administer EPC, procurement, construction, and service contracts.
  • Ensure contractors meet contractual obligations and project procedures.

  • Interpret contract terms and advise on rights, obligations, liabilities.
  • Review contractor correspondence on contractual matters.
  • Manage variations, change orders, and contract amendments.
  • Administer Change Management process and document changes.
  • Review EOT submissions and contractual entitlement.
  • Evaluate contractor claims for delay, disruption, or additional compensation.
  • Prepare contractual assessments and formal responses to claims.
  • Support dispute resolution and mitigate commercial exposure.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of correspondence and notices.
  • Participate in risk assessments and mitigation actions.
  • Monitor contractor performance against obligations and milestones.

Job Title: Contracts Manager KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently seeking experienced professionals for the position listed below in support of a major Offshore Project. The role will be based at either the Client's Office or the Contractor's Office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Purpose

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for effective post-award contract administration and commercial management of major EPC contracts, safeguarding the Client’s contractual entitlements and ensuring compliance with applicable contractual frameworks, project procedures, and requirements. Current ADNOC Offshore PMC contract roles emphasize contract administration, claims management, change management, contractual compliance, risk mitigation, and dispute avoidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead contract administration and contract management activities for assigned EPC project packages.
  • Act as the key PMC focal point for contractual matters between the Client, PMC team, and EPC contractors.
  • Administer EPC, procurement, construction, and service contracts during project execution.
  • Ensure contractors comply with contractual obligations, project procedures, and applicable contractual requirements.
  • Provide contractual and commercial advice to Project Management and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Interpret contract terms and conditions and advise project management on contractual rights, obligations, and liabilities.
  • Review and evaluate contractor correspondence related to contractual and commercial matters.
  • Manage variations, change orders, contract amendments, and supplemental agreements, including assessment of their contractual and commercial impact.
  • Administer the project Change Management process and ensure approved changes are properly documented.
  • Review and assess contractors’ Extension of Time (EOT) submissions and contractual entitlement.
  • Evaluate contractor claims associated with delay, disruption, acceleration, productivity loss, and additional compensation.
  • Prepare contractual assessments, recommendations, and formal responses to contractor claims.
  • Support the resolution of contractual disputes and proactively minimize commercial exposure and project risks.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of contractual correspondence, notices, claims, variations, and change documentation.
  • Participate in contractual and commercial risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation actions.
  • Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations, commitments, milestones, and key deliverables.
  • Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Project Controls, Finance, and other disciplines on contractual matters.
  • Support project management in resolving major contractual, commercial, schedule, change, and claim-related issues.
  • Ensure contractual risks, opportunities, changes, and potential claims are appropriately identified and managed during project execution.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Commercial Management, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in Contracts/Commercial Management within Oil & Gas EPC/PMC projects.
  • Strong experience in post-award contract administration of major EPC contracts. This is particularly relevant to current PMC Contracts Manager requirements supporting major ADNOC Offshore EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract terms and conditions, contractual obligations, liabilities, notices, claims, and change management.
  • Proven experience in evaluating variations, EOTs, delay/disruption claims, and contractor commercial claims.
  • Experience supporting major offshore Oil & Gas projects is highly desirable.
  • Previous ADNOC / ADNOC Offshore PMC or EPC project experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and overall EPC project execution.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and multiple EPC contractors.
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract risk-management capability.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear contractual assessments, recommendations, correspondence, and management reports.
