Job Title: Construction Manager KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently seeking experienced professionals for the position listed below in support of a major Offshore Project. The role will be initially based at either the Client's Office or the Contractor's Office in Abu Dhabi, UAE and if required, later move to Offshore site.

Job Purpose

The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing construction and installation activities associated with the ADNOC Offshore project, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution. The role will represent the PMC in supervising EPC contractor performance across fabrication, offshore installation, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage construction activities to ensure execution in accordance with ADNOC Offshore requirements and approved project procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee offshore construction and installation activities.
  • Supervise and monitor EPC contractor performance during fabrication, construction, offshore installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Manage construction activities associated with onshore fabrication, offshore transportation and installation, mechanical completion, and brownfield modifications.
  • Coordinate construction activities with Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, HSE, Quality, Commissioning, and other project disciplines.
  • Review contractors' construction execution plans, procedures, work methodologies, and construction schedules.
  • Monitor construction progress against the approved project schedule and identify potential constraints or delays.
  • Coordinate resolution of construction-related technical issues with engineering and EPC contractor teams.
  • Ensure effective coordination between fabrication yards, offshore construction teams, EPC contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor offshore installation activities and ensure alignment between fabrication completion, transportation, installation, and mechanical completion.
  • Manage and coordinate brownfield modification activities and interfaces with existing facilities.
  • Ensure construction activities are appropriately coordinated with commissioning and handover requirements.
  • Review construction progress and highlight critical issues requiring corrective or recovery actions.
  • Participate in construction progress meetings, coordination meetings, constructability reviews, and project reviews.
  • Ensure contractors maintain appropriate construction documentation, records, progress reporting, and completion dossiers.
  • Support resolution of construction interfaces between different contractors and work packages.
  • Promote effective coordination of construction activities to achieve project objectives safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure construction execution complies with applicable project HSE, quality, and technical requirements.
  • Provide construction status, risks, constraints, and key issues to Project Management.
  • Support mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final project handover activities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with strong construction management experience.
  • Significant experience working on offshore EPC projects.
  • Proven experience in managing construction and installation activities within a PMC / Client / EPC environment.
  • Strong exposure to offshore transportation & installation, fabrication, mechanical completion, and brownfield modifications is highly desirable for this type of ADNOC Offshore construction role.
  • Experience supervising EPC contractors from fabrication through offshore installation and commissioning is highly relevant.
  • Previous ADNOC / ADNOC Offshore project experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Good understanding of multidisciplinary offshore construction involving structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and associated facilities.
  • Strong understanding of EPC project execution and construction interfaces.
  • Experience working with fabrication yards and offshore construction teams.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE and quality requirements applicable to offshore Oil & Gas construction.
  • Good understanding of project schedules, construction progress measurement, and contractor performance monitoring.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
