Overview

We are recruiting a Creative Fragrance Manager to focus on our Home & Air Care category in our Regional Fragrance Creative Centre in Dubai. You will be part of our regional Fragrance Consumer Products Development team, reporting to the Category Director – Fabric & Home Care MENA. Your focus will be on customers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets – countries from Libya in Africa to the Levant, the Gulf, Iran and Pakistan in South Asia.

Responsibilities
Fragrance Development
  • Develop the olfactory strategy for customers, markets, categories and accordingly guide the Perfumery teams.
  • Manage and execute multiple complex briefs from customers and develop or select fragrances according to the given brief guidelines.
  • Liaise with other regional creative centers as necessary to complete project assignments.
  • Define fragrances to be tested and coordinate with Consumer Market Insights (CMI) teams.
  • Translate CMI results into olfactory guidelines for Perfumers.
  • Develop new fragrances with Perfumers on a proactive basis.
  • Stay informed about Givaudan and industry best practices and identify improvement opportunities for implementation.
Project Management
  • Efficiently manage the project pipeline of customer briefs and other internal or proactive initiatives.
  • Ensure efficient execution of projects with a focus on improving the win rate, customer intimacy and speed of response.
  • Lead large projects across multiple client types.
Build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Participate in meetings with customers and prepare for customer visits.
  • Build and maintain relationships with selected customers together with the Sales / Key Accounts team.
  • Proactively provide the Sales / Key Accounts team with inputs for their account development plans.
Positioning and Marketing
  • Anticipate market tastes; work closely with marketing colleagues on proactive concept generation.
  • Write olfactory summaries of regions/markets and customers for knowledge‑building and sharing.
  • Conduct customer presentations and interactions.
People Management
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior evaluators and manage the performance and development of the team.
  • Build an inclusive and creative environment where all team members are motivated and can contribute to their best.
  • Foster a culture of empowerment, sharing and accountability.
Your Professional Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree or University Degree; Master’s or advanced degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Deep knowledge and passion for the world of fragrances.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Fragrance Evaluation (preferably with some experience in the Home Care category) and a strong track record of developing winning fragrances for key international or regional customers. Prior experience in the Middle East or Africa region is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Ideally 2 years of experience in coaching and leading effective teams.
  • Excellent oral and written proficiency in English. Additional knowledge of Arabic and/or French is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Team player comfortable with cultural diversity.
  • Proficient in common PC applications, especially MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
