Job summary

SEHA in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a clinical embryology and andrology specialist to perform IVF/ICSI-related procedures and manage laboratory processes. The role includes oocyte collection, embryo handling, cryopreservation, and patient communication, with emphasis on adherence to SOPs and DOH licensing requirements.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in medical laboratory science and a Master’s in assisted reproductive technologies, with DOH license eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/health sciences / Applied Science, Biology/Zoology.
• Master’s degree in human Assisted reproductive technologies.
• DOH License or Eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical embryology and andrology services following competency assessment and SOPs.
• Semen analysis and preparation for IVF, ICSI and IUI.
• Sperm cryopreservation and thawing.
• Processing, cryopreservation and thawing of epididymal sperm, testicular biopsies and Micro TESE.
• Oocyte collection.
• Assessment, insemination and injection of oocytes using IVF or ICSI.
• Oocytes and embryo handling and manipulation for fertilisation, cleavage and blastocyst development.
• Embryo selection and embryo transfer.
• Embryo cryopreservation and thawing.
• Embryo biopsy and tubing for chromosomal screening and genetic diagnosis.
• Gamete and embryo culture dish preparation.
• Communication with patients on embryology treatment outcome.
• Assist in overall laboratory maintenance and validation; cryo-storage tanks maintenance and audit.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science/health sciences / Applied Science, Biology/Zoology

Master’s degree in human Assisted reproductive technologies
