Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and organize all aspects of food production for the restaurant, ensuring compliance with brand standards and culinary excellence.
- Develop standard recipes, create innovative dishes, and maintain outstanding technical culinary skills.
- Monitor and maintain food quality, kitchen hygiene, and safety standards including EHS and HACCP compliance.
- Collaborate on menu planning, costing, and the development of new culinary concepts.
- Supervise kitchen staffing levels, scheduling, and daily operations to ensure efficient service aligned with business demand.
- Foster a high-performing team culture through leadership, mentorship, and continuous development.
- Coordinate with HR and department heads on recruitment, performance appraisals, promotions, and staff training.
- Support budget preparation and cost control initiatives to achieve departmental financial goals.
- Maintain high standards of safety and emergency procedures; ensure all colleagues and contractors adhere to operational and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef in fine-dining or Michelin-starred restaurants.
- Expertise in modern Italian or Mediterranean cuisine with a flair for innovation and technical precision.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse culinary teams in high-pressure environments.
- Deep knowledge of kitchen operations, food cost control, safety standards, and quality assurance.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Flexible, hands-on approach with a strong focus on delivering excellence.
- Adept at maintaining the integrity and philosophy of a Michelin-starred culinary concept.
