Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT professional to join our team. The IT Specialist will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user access, maintaining servers and networks, and supporting IT projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
• Monitor and respond to IT support tickets and service requests in a timely manner
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues across workstations and servers
• Manage user accounts and permissions in systems such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, etc.
• Maintain and monitor network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Ensure system security through access controls, firewalls, antivirus software, and backups
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees, including setting up workstations and access
• Support IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts
• Document internal procedures and contribute to knowledge base articles
• Provide training and guidance to staff on software and systems use

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration
• Solid understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
• Experience with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Cisco CCNA
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V)
• Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)

Working Conditions

• Full‑time, on‑site or hybrid work model
• May require occasional evening or weekend work for system maintenance or upgrades
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed
