Job summary

Kingston Stanley is seeking a highly hands-on IT Cloud Engineer to own a modern, 100% Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code cloud environment. This role focuses on automation, cloud engineering, DevOps, Kubernetes, and AI-assisted development within a small, senior team.

Key tasks include Terraform/Terragrunt, AKS and Helm, Azure networking, scripting with PowerShell, Bash, and Python, and using Microsoft Sentinel, Application Insights, and Key Vault.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure across multiple subscriptions.
• Terraform/Terragrunt in modular architectures.
• Azure DevOps Pipelines with YAML templates.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a highly hands-on IT Cloud Engineer to join a growing technology team and take ownership of a modern, 100% Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) cloud environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys automation, cloud engineering, DevOps, Kubernetes, and AI-assisted development, and wants genuine ownership within a small, senior engineering team.

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure across multiple subscriptions.
• Strong Terraform & Terragrunt experience, ideally at scale and using modular architecture.
• Strong Azure DevOps Pipelines experience including YAML and templates.
• Hands-on AKS and Helm experience.
• Strong Azure networking knowledge including App Gateway, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, Private Endpoints and DNS.
• Strong PowerShell skills with working knowledge of Bash and Python.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Application Insights and Key Vault.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory / Entra ID, DNS and DHCP.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot as part of day-to-day engineering.

Desirable: Azure Virtual Desktop, FSLogix, Ansible, Disaster Recovery, APIM, Logic Apps, Service Bus and Data Factory.
