Investment Advisor – Private Coverage

Role Purpose

Manage fixed income portfolios, research and promote various investment vehicles for HNWI client.

  • To grow AUM base for Private Banking clients while ensuring to assist relationship managers in offering best in class integrated investment opportunities generating fee income to enhance the ROAE business ratio in line with international best practice
  • Responsible to develop & launch investment products articulated in PB strategy and provide the world class service standards
  • To Identify client investment needs with the ability to "spot opportunities", offer bespoke investment solution,
  • cultivating and tracking of investment performance that meets clients’ expectations in accordance with PBG investment strategy.
Key Accountabilities of the role
  • Maintain control over the credit client portfolio to ensure that all documentation is properly completed complying with bank policies & procedures.
  • Develop & deliver bespoke investment opportunities and provide solutions to Private Banking clients based on a complete understanding of the ADIB's investment outlook across asset classes and investment strategies and propositions.
  • Meet / Interact regularly with clients to review their investment portfolio's performance and risks; discuss economic & market trends to present appropriate investment solutions.
  • Responsible for understanding each client current and long‑term financial and personal situation and goals prior to completing the investment profiling with RM.
  • Responsible for the development of marketing & pitch materials for client communication backed by extensive research to ensure outstanding financial modelling aptitude & competency in financial analysis.
  • Monitor performance of current investments against the budgeted targets and offer strategies for obtaining maximum ROI and profitability.
  • Work with RMs to design and implement asset allocation strategies and financial plans for clients that meet their unique circumstances, risk tolerance, goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate the investment advisory business model at Private Banking, assess investment products and services offered through the ADIB product platforms and look for ways to improve long‑term profitability and customer experience.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of the investment advisory role and promote this among team members and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for securing and managing the Investment pipeline and playing an integral role in client fundraising / placement of investment offerings.
  • Ensure adherence to all governance standards and policies applicable to Investment Advisory Team and suitability process.
  • Adherence to consumer protection regulations while client engagement.
  • Contribute towards achieving the Private Banking Group's financials & promote the Fee / recurring income generation without the reliance on capital utilization.
  • Perform quality checking on client forms received by RM / Clients to ensure accuracy & discipline for client documentation.
  • Completion of assigned tasks efficiently in timely manner & adhere to internal / external turnaround‑time / timelines.
  • Builds a strong and long‑term relationship with clients and external counterparties / investment houses presentations, videos, and case studies.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role
  • Minimum 8‑10 years in industry experience preferably in private banking & wealth management.
  • Bachelor's degree with MBA is required (preferably CFA), or equivalent Finance, Business or analytical degree is required.
  • A sound understanding of the end‑to‑end advisory process in the private client and institutional markets and implementation structures surrounding the advisory processes will be a major advantage.
  • Excellent understanding of financial planning & relate to different markets' risks to analyze investment types.

Strong communication, articulation skills and professionalism, to influence client behaviors by establishing rapport & trust.

  • Good understanding of investment products and solutions across asset classes. Market experience is a must to guide and advise clients on their investment’s strategy and excellent understanding of portfolio theory and asset allocation.
  • Flexible & client centric under pressure, possess excellent time‑management skills, self‑motivated to exceed targets & objectives with strong fundamentals & technical analysis with proven investment advisory track record.

International banks work experience & exposure to corporate advisory & complex transactions is advantageous to this strong analytical, problem solving, judgment skills, high energy and commitment level.

  • University / Post degree, preferably in Finance, Banking or Business Administration. Good knowledge of legal / Sharia issues related to investment products in addition to presentation skills & networking skills.
  • A thinker who can quickly and accurately evaluate and analyze companies and financial information.
