Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) is seeking an experienced Investment Adviser to partner with Relationship Managers in identifying clients for Investment Advisory mandates. The role entails reviewing client knowledge, risk tolerance, and objectives to prepare Investment Policy Statements that guide investment advice under an advisory mandate.

You will deliver investment ideas, ensure regulatory compliance, and work to grow assets and revenue from the client book.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of private banking or asset management experience.
• Experience as an investment advisor or portfolio manager is preferred.
• CFA or equivalent designation is desirable.
• Strong client-facing and risk-awareness capabilities.

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

• Prospecting - Work alongside Relationship Managers to identify appropriate clients for Investment Advisory mandates. This will involve book screening, pitching and support through the prospecting process
• Understand the Client - Once onboarded, undertake a thorough review of a client's knowledge and experience, risk tolerance and investment objectives, in order to help the client prepare an Investment Policy Statement (IPS) that will guide investment advice under an Investment Advisory mandate.
• Investment Ideas and Advice - In accordance with the IPS, deliver investment advice to the client in order to help them achieve their financial objectives. In doing so, ensure adherence to all regulatory and suitability requirements as well as client constraints
• Grow Assets and Revenue - Through converting prospects and deepening wallet share with existing clients, grow the assets under advice and revenue from the Investment Adviser's client book
• Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures - Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
• Self-Management - Manage self in line with the Bank's people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance
• Customer Service - Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank's required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

• At least 7 years of experience in private banking or asset management in an investment advisor or portfolio management
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics or related discipline preferable
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent desirable
