Job summary

Interventional Cardiologist role in Abu Dhabi with DrExpat’s network of leading healthcare providers. The candidate will diagnose and treat complex cardiovascular diseases using advanced catheter-based procedures, including diagnostic coronary angiography and PCI.

Qualifications

• Valid DOH license to practice Interventional Cardiology in the UAE.
• Board Certification in Cardiology with subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in catheterization and angiographic procedures.
• Expertise in PCI, including stent placement and atherectomy.
• Strong clinical decision-making and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Carry out PCI including stent placement and atherectomy.
• Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow cardiology guidelines.

Role Overview

As an Interventional Cardiologist you will diagnose and treat patients with complex cardiovascular diseases using advanced catheter-based procedures. You will perform coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and other minimally invasive cardiac procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and cardiac catheterization procedures
• Carry out Percutaneous Coronary Interventions PCI including stent placement and atherectomy
• Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide pre‑procedure, intra‑procedure, and post‑procedure patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow international cardiology guidelines
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education
• Support patient education and preventive cardiovascular care

Requirements

• Valid DOH license to practice Interventional Cardiology in the UAE
• Board Certification in Cardiology with subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology
• Minimum 3 5 years of experience in cardiac catheterization and angiographic procedures
• Expertise in Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), including stent placement and atherectomy
• Strong clinical decision‑making and multidisciplinary collaboration skills

Salary and Benefits

Salary: AED 70,000 - 90,000 per month
