Position: Field Service Engineer

The Position / About the Job:

This role involves executing field service jobs efficiently to achieve profitable growth aligned with ALME's financial objectives. The engineer will enhance customer experience by fulfilling commitments and ensuring service quality, support sales activities, and provide technical support to customers.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Execute service jobs for boilers and inert gas systems, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Update reports and settings in CDM, and ensure customer satisfaction surveys are completed.
  • Provide competent and quality customer service to fulfill commitments, supporting regional service and marine growth targets.
  • Undertake equipment servicing as per customer requirements.
  • Meet KPIs aligned with customer needs.
  • Identify business development opportunities, support warranty claims, and explore new service contracts.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of products and applications.
  • Capture and update installed base information.

Safety:

  • Use appropriate PPE during service visits.
  • Follow safety instructions and policies diligently.
  • Report safety issues promptly.

Market Intelligence and Customer Satisfaction:

  • Resolve customer complaints swiftly.
  • Recommend timely spare parts purchases.
  • Follow up on customer commitments and communicate product changes.
  • Train customers on installed products.
  • Gather customer insights and feedback, communicate and act on them.
  • Report sales leads to the sales organization.

Reporting:

  • Document every visit, observations, and commitments with customers.
  • Upload reports and settings in CDM.

Competencies, Experience, and Attitudes:

Engineering degree with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience. Strong customer focus, planning skills, commitment to quality, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
