Internal Communications Manager
Location: Abu Dhabi
Contract Type: 6-month secondment
Purpose of the Role
- Work closely with the communications team to define annual internal communications initiatives that involve and engage all employees across the entire organisation.
- Align internal and executive messaging with the company’s vision, mission and positioning.
- Work in close partnership with Human Resources, Marketing and Communications and Leadership to execute communication initiatives from concept to delivery.
- Develop a variety of internal and executive communications including presentations, speeches and announcements to be delivered across a variety of communications channels.
- Ensure that all internal communications messages are aligned with external messages (i.e. key messages, company narratives, tone of voice).
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead on all internal communications strategies, plans and activities intended to establish an ongoing channel of communications across the company.
- Manage end-to-end project plans for internal communications campaigns and corporate employee events.
- Support leadership in company meetings and town halls by crafting the messaging and program through agenda, speaker selection and logistics.
- Prepare for crisis management, define communications protocols and handle internal communications responses to manage and protect the reputation of the company.
- Recommend and organise all internal speaking platforms for senior leadership and draft/review their messages or speeches (in written or spoken form) for presentation to employees.
- Assess key developments across the organisation that impact employee relations to recommend suitable internal communications initiatives and practices.
- Draft presentations for organisational events.
- Track budget spend against assigned projects.
- Maintain briefs, information, developed assets, approvals and reports pertaining to assigned projects.
Qualifications
- 8 years experience
- Arabic and English (Preferred)
- Marketing/Communications/ PR/ Media/ Business qualifications or equivalent
- A passion for writing, with exceptional written communications and proofreading skills.
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong English copywriting and editing skills
- Experience in the energy and/or government sector an advantage
