Job summary

MBC Management Consultancies seeks a seasoned Internal Audit lead for the Energy, Oil & Gas sector in Abu Dhabi. You will manage end-to-end audits for O&G companies, deliver detailed reports, and present findings to senior management.

The role requires strong analytical skills, O&G process experience, ICOFR & SOX engagements, and proven team leadership to drive risk-based assurance across plant operations, supply chain, HSE, and engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/BE in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Exposure to Process Safety Management System or Pipeline Safety Management System.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead and manage teams.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit technical expertise in the Energy, Oil & Gas domain and deliver high-quality internal audit reports and presentations to senior management and clients.
• Lead, execute, and manage end-to-end Internal Audit engagements for O&G companies.
• Conduct risk assessment, define scope, develop work programs, create Risk Control Matrix, perform data analytics, and document evidence.
• Draft internal audit reports, provide technical recommendations, and present audit outcomes to leadership.
• Audit O&G technical processes such as Plant Operations, Production scheduling, Planning, Repairs & Maintenance, Field Construction, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, Engineering, and EPC audits.
• Execute ICOFR & SOX engagements for mid-size and large companies, including risk assessment, gap analysis, and recommendations.
• Lead and manage a team of professionals to successful execution of Internal Audit engagements.
• Establish and document a robust control framework to meet global standards and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Assist engagement directors in identifying opportunities for new services and business development.
• Support training and evaluation of team members, contributing to practice development.
• Develop business‑development strategies to expand the client base within Energy & Utilities.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by building and maintaining relationships with current and potential clients, including top executives at prospects and target clients.

• Conduct internal audits for O&G technical processes such as Plant Operations, Production scheduling, Planning, Repairs & Maintenance, Field Construction, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing, Engineering Processes, Standards, HSE, Construction Project Management, Production Strategy, and EPC audits.
• Execute ICOFR & SOX engagements for mid-size and large companies, performing risk and materiality assessment, developing RCMs, testing, gap analysis, and implementing recommendations.
• Lead and manage a team of professionals to successful execution of Internal Audit engagements.
• Establish and document a robust control framework to meet global standards and ensure compliance with applicable control procedures.
• Assist engagement directors in identifying opportunities for new services and business development at existing and prospective clients.
