Job summary

Emirates Islamic is seeking an Internal Audit professional to support the Head of Internal Audit and provide expert knowledge in Financial Crime Compliance, Retail Banking and Banking Operations. You will conduct process audits, project assignments and ad hoc reviews under supervision.

The role emphasizes control environment improvements, timely follow-ups on findings, and delivering value-driven audits while maintaining stakeholder relationships and adhering to Audit Manual standards.

Qualifications

• UAE Nationals only.
• Graduate degree required.
• Recognized professional accounting qualification.
• Banking/financial services audit experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of banking activities.

The incumbent will support the Head of Internal Audit / Portfolio Head / Portfolio Lead in providing internal audit services for EI and will be a subject matter expertise for Financial Crime Compliance, Retail Banking and Banking Operations. He/she will undertake business process audits, project assignments and ad hoc review work under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an audit service focused on control environment improvements that protect and enhance the group's financial position.
• Ensure audit findings are timely addressed
• Conduct audits which are perceived to add value to the business
• Ensure Internal Audit is contemporary and innovative to drive efficiency / quality of service
• Maintain professional working relationship with business stakeholders
• Audit job completion, documentation and reporting in line with Audit Manual / standards
• Ensure observations are supported by facts, drafted per departmental standards and agreed with management.
• Drive / Participate in department strategic initiatives / innovation programs
• Drive / Participate in staff engagement activities

Required Qualifications & Experience

• UAE Nationals will only be considered for this role
• A Graduate degree
• Recognized Professional Accounting Qualification
• Banking/financial services industry related audit experience is an advantage
• Good overall knowledge of Banking activities
• Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standard and Basel regulations
