Newcom is seeking a Market Opportunity Analyst Intern in Dubai to research whitespaces, ideate regional solutions, and help close gaps with structured frameworks and executive-ready briefs.

You will combine analytical rigor with creative ideation, producing materials for senior leadership and collaborating across the Value Added Sales Division. This internship offers mentorship and hands-on exposure to real commercial challenges.

Qualifications

• Final-year Bachelor’s or MBA candidate in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) to accelerate research and draft content.
• Diligence in validating AI outputs against primary sources.
• Strong ideation and analytical thinking; comfortable proposing new ideas.
• Proficiency with Canva to prepare professional presentations.
• Structured thinking with ability to break down complex problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize complex information.
• Strong stakeholder management; ability to work across teams and drive alignment.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter mentality with proactive problem-solving.

Position Type: Part-time or Full-time Internship (3–6 months, with potential extension)

Compensation: Monthly Stipend

The Market Opportunity Analyst Intern will research whitespaces in the market and help ideate solutions Newcom could bring to the region to close those gaps. The role combines analytical rigor with genuine ideation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Whitespace & Market Research

• Research market demand patterns and identify gaps between customer needs and what is currently available regionally.
• Analyze industry and category trends to surface emerging opportunity areas.

Opportunity Ideation & Development

• Ideate potential solutions, categories, or offerings Newcom could introduce to address identified gaps.
• Develop opportunity-sizing and prioritization frameworks to evaluate potential initiatives.

Executive Reporting

• Translate research and ideation into clear, executive-ready briefing materials.
• Present findings and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently in the final year of a Bachelor’s program (Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field) or pursuing an MBA.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) to accelerate research, synthesize large documents (PDFs/reports), and structure and draft initial content.
• Diligence in validating AI-generated outputs against primary sources.
• Strong ideation instinct alongside analytical rigor — comfortable proposing new ideas, not just analyzing existing ones.
• Proficiency in Canva with a proven ability to prepare professional-quality presentations.
• Structured thinking with ability to break down complex problems methodically.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to synthesize complex information concisely.
• Strong stakeholder management skills — ability to work across teams, manage expectations, and drive alignment.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter mentality with intellectual curiosity and proactive problem-solving approach.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel charts).
• Prior internship, work experience, or project work in a relevant area.
• Familiarity with market-sizing frameworks (e.g., TAM/SAM/SOM); experience with feasibility studies or business case development.
