Job summary

Engineering Unit General Contracting in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Interior Designer/Detailer to prepare detailed technical drawings, shop drawings and layouts for interior fit-out works. Convert design intent architectural drawings into accurate construction documentation, coordinate with project managers and design teams, and update drawings based on feedback.

Maintain organized records, assist with material take-offs, and ensure timely delivery of drawings to meet project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture (Mandatory).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in interior fit-out projects.
• Proven experience in producing high-quality technical drawings and shop drawings.
• General Knowledge of the interior fit-out/joinery industry & competition.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, shop drawings and layouts for interior fit-out works.
• Convert design intent architectural and interior design drawings into accurate construction documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers and design teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements.
• Update and revise drawings based on client consultant or site feedback.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, specifications and quality requirements.
• Assist in creating material take-offs schedules and coordination drawings for procurement and site execution.
• Collaborate closely with the site team to resolve design-related issues during execution.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings revisions and project documentation.
• Support the team in coordinating with consultants and suppliers for design approvals.
• Ensure drawings are delivered in a timely manner to meet project schedules.
