A leading design and consultancy firm in the UAE is seeking an experienced Interior Designer for site supervision in Dubai. The role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience and a degree in Interior Design. Responsibilities include monitoring design works, producing drawings, and leading coordination with other disciplines. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, along with experience in BIM tools and software like Revit and AutoCAD.

Stantec is currently looking for an Interior Designer to support the site supervision project in Dubai. Candidates must have experience in Interior backgrounds within buildings site supervision.

Some of the key job responsibilities of this role entail the following:

  • Hands-on in monitoring the interior design works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
  • Produce technical construction detail drawings.
  • Review, comment, and approve Contractors' shop drawings.
  • Prepare daily logs and reports.
  • Lead the coordination process with other disciplines.
  • Liaison and coordinate with the necessary sub-consultants.
  • Managing the interior inspectors.
  • Reviewing/comment/approving materials delivered to site and on-site mock-ups as required.
  • Assisting with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the interior design works.
  • Prepare weekly planning and weekly report.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 8 years of site supervision experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Interior Design or equivalent field.
  • Holding good knowledge of BIM tools with a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Knowledge of building construction systems means and methods.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team, checking own work for accuracy and completeness, and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal) and ability to contribute effectively to discipline-specific discussions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact with team members of different disciplines.
  • Practical, hands-on, and up-to-date experience in Interior design.
  • Ability to be inventive and imaginative in design and master planning.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated team player, keen to develop with our growing organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in using software packages including Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Trimble Sketchup, 3DStudio MAX, and Photoshop is an added advantage.
  • Dynamic with good organizational skills and able to multitask.
