Job description

We are seeking an Interface Engineer (Systems) as part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office. The job opening is located in the Middle East and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Identify, define and manage technical interfaces between systems, subsystems and external parties throughout all project stages (Stage 1–3 lifecycle)
• Establish and maintain interface documentation, including interface registers and interface control documents
• Coordinate closely with design and engineering teams to ensure alignment of system interfaces with overall project requirements
• Monitor and manage interface-related risks, issues and changes, ensuring timely resolution and proper escalation
• Lead or support interface coordination workshops and technical meetings with multidisciplinary stakeholders
• Ensure traceability between interface requirements, system requirements and design solutions across all project phases
• Ensure seamless system integration by aligning interface definitions with overall system architecture and operational concepts

Qualifications

• University degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years of experience in complex infrastructure or rail projects with a focus on system integration or interface management
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles across the full project lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders in an international environment
• Solid understanding of configuration management and changing control processes in large-scale projects
• Experience working across full project lifecycles (from concept and design through implementation and testing) in system integration roles
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with fluency in English (written and spoken) and ability to work in an international project environment; Arabic language skills are an advantage
