Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an Interface Coordinator to manage interfaces across design disciplines, project packages, clients, authorities, and contractors on major infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on integration, risk mitigation, and timely resolution of issues to deliver coordinated outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5–12 years of relevant experience in roads, transportation, and utilities, with strong stakeholder management and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–12 years of experience in Roads, Transportation, Infrastructure, or Utilities.
• Proven experience as Interface Coordinator, Interface Engineer, Project Coordinator, or similar role.
• Experience with international engineering consulting firms on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and multiple project stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of road infrastructure, transportation systems, utility corridors, and authority coordination processes.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi or UAE infrastructure project requirements is an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management/document control systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate interfaces among project disciplines, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and government authorities.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor Interface Registers and associated action trackers.
• Facilitate interface meetings and drive the resolution of technical, design, and stakeholder issues.
• Identify interface risks, dependencies, and conflicts and support the implementation of mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with Roads, Transportation, Utilities, Civil, Structures, and Traffic teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Track interface actions, monitor progress, and ensure timely closure of issues.
• Support stakeholder engagement activities and ensure effective communication across project teams.
• Review project deliverables, design packages, and technical documentation to identify interface impacts.
• Prepare interface reports, dashboards, and status updates for project management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with project procedures, client requirements, and quality standards.

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and multiple project stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of road infrastructure, transportation systems, utility corridors, and authority coordination processes.
• Experience managing Interface Registers and interface management procedures.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi or UAE infrastructure project requirements will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management/document control systems.
