Job summary

Hydrogen Group is partnering with a highly regarded international law firm in Dubai to strengthen its General Insurance Litigation team. The role offers exposure to a broad range of contentious and advisory matters across the UAE, the wider Middle East and international markets.

The ideal candidate is a common law-qualified lawyer with 3–4 PQE, experienced in insurance disputes, casualty and liability, with strong technical and client-relations skills. Arabic language is a plus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Common law-qualified lawyer with 3–4 PQE.
• Experience in insurance disputes across multiple lines.
• Experience in casualty and liability; London market work advantageous.
• Strong technical and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise insurers, reinsurers and corporate clients on insurance and reinsurance matters.
• Handle insurance disputes, including litigation, arbitration and ADR.
• Work on coverage, casualty and liability matters, with cross-border exposure.
• Draft opinions, pleadings, witness statements and settlement documentation.
• Build client relationships and contribute to practice growth.

A highly regarded international law firm is looking to strengthen its General Insurance Litigation team in Dubai.

This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance lawyer to join an established practice, working alongside leading partners on a broad range of contentious and advisory matters across the UAE, wider Middle East and international markets.

The role will involve:

• Advising insurers, reinsurers and corporate clients on insurance and reinsurance matters across multiple lines.
• Handling insurance disputes, including litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.
• Working on coverage, casualty and liability matters, with exposure to complex, cross-border claims.
• Drafting legal opinions, pleadings, witness statements and settlement documentation.
• Building client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

The ideal candidate

• Common law-qualified lawyer with approximately 3–4 PQE.
• Experience in insurance disputes and related matters across multiple lines.
• Experience in casualty and liability, coverage and London market work would be advantageous.
• Strong technical skills and a commercially minded approach to claims.
• Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.
• Arabic language skills would be an advantage, but are not essential.
