Job summary

SLB is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to specify, design, size and select instruments and actuated valves, ensuring compliance with client specs and international standards. The role includes vendor management, bulk material and cable specifications, and supporting installation at shop or site.

Responsibilities include design basis creation, MTO preparation, cable routing, and collaboration with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of instrumentation engineering experience.
• Ability to review client specs and prepare compliant designs.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Review client specifications during proposal phase and raise clarifications.
• Create instrumentation design basis and project specifications.
• Size and specify cables; define routing and bulk material MTOs.
• Develop instrument datasheets and select components.
• Lead in peer reviews of P&IDs and FAT involvement.
• Assist Junior engineers and maintain HSSE compliance.
