Job summary

Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking an experienced Engineer – Commissioning (Instrumentation & Control) to support shipyard, marine and industrial projects. You will oversee inspection, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems in line with approved drawings and standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Instrumentation & Control or related field and at least five years in commissioning, with strong knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Control commissioning.
• Experience in shipyard, marine, offshore, oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects preferred.
• Hands-on experience in commissioning, loop checking, calibration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA, ESD, Fire & Gas systems and instrument hardware.
• Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams and I/O lists.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Instrumentation & Control commissioning activities per procedures and project schedules.
• Carry out inspection, testing, calibration, loop checking and functional testing.
• Verify installation and commissioning of instruments, valves, transmitters and gauges.
• Prepare commissioning records, test sheets and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Piping and other teams to ensure readiness.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting of PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD, F&G systems.
• Identify deficiencies and ensure punch-list close-out in line with specs.
• Liaise with client representatives, subcontractors and vendors during commissioning.
