Job summary

Orbit International Survey Services LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Engineer – Commissioning (Instrumentation & Control) to lead testing, calibration, and handover of instrumentation systems on shipyard and industrial projects.

The role requires reading P&IDs, performing loop checks, coordinating with multi-discipline teams and ensuring compliance with project specs and HSE requirements; candidates should have 5+ years in commissioning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control commissioning.
Experience in shipyard, marine, offshore, oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects preferred.
Hands-on experience in instrumentation commissioning, loop checking, calibration, functional testing and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA, ESD, Fire & Gas systems, control valves, transmitters and instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute Instrumentation & Control commissioning activities per procedures and project schedules.
Carry out inspection, testing, calibration, loop checking and functional testing of instrumentation and control systems.
Verify installation and commissioning of instruments, valves, transmitters, switches and gauges.
Perform continuity, insulation resistance, point-to-point and loop checks.
Prepare commissioning records, test sheets, checklists and inspection reports.
