Job summary

Stantec in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Electrical/Instrumentation Construction Supervisor for water pumping station projects. The role reports on-site, supervising electrical, instrumentation and control activities to ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineers, reviewing installation, testing PLC panels and SCADA integration, and maintaining clear site records.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Technical Delivery: Interacting with clients and contractor's staff to determine and verify project requirements and prepare inspection reports.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers to solve design problems and perform basic design calculations; conduct site investigations and liaise with remote teams.
• Client Service Management: Internal and external client liaison; build and maintain relationships; experience in utility diversions and management.
• Follow safe work practices; adhere to company policies; design for safety (CDM); align with quality procedures.
• Other duties as requested by the Assistant Resident Engineer.

Job description

Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• 1.Technical Delivery:
  Interacting with clients and contractor's staff to determine and verify project requirements.
  Preparing inspection reports and site records.
  Providing general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
  Identifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions and coordinating responses.
  Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
• 2.Collaboration and working as part of a team.
  Work in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.
  Conduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations
  Liaison with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks, and project.
  Good communicator.

  Internal and external client liaison
  Ability to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships
  Experience in utility diversions and management
• 4.Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.

Qualification's:- Minimum Diploma Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent

• - Minimum 8 -10 years' experience in construction supervision of water pumping station projects
• 1. Electrical –
  Experience in installation, testing of electrical panels, cabling, earthing, lighting etc or supervision experience of similar works.
• 2. Instrumentation –
  Experience in installation, testing of plant instrumentation or supervision experience of similar works.
• 3. Control & Automation -
  Experience in installation, testing of PLC panels and SCADA system or supervision experience of similar works.
  Experience in designing, installation, testing of communication network and SCADA integration or supervision experience of similar works.
• Needs to have a valid UAE Driver's license.
• Proficiency in MS Office to generate reports.
