Job summary

GEMS Education in Dubai is seeking a Teaching and Learning Coach to play a key role in instructional leadership. You will support classroom practice and enhance literacy development while helping teachers deliver high-quality education aligned with the National Curriculum for England.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering outstanding classroom teaching.
• Experience coaching teachers and leading professional learning initiatives.
• Strong understanding of effective pedagogy, literacy instruction, and assessment strategies.
• Ability to analyse data to improve teaching effectiveness and student progress.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience within a GEMS school environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Principal and leadership team in driving school improvement and instructional excellence.
• Deliver teaching responsibilities while modeling outstanding classroom practices.
• Monitor classroom teaching through observations, learning walks, and coaching discussions.
• Guide teachers in planning effective lessons with clear learning objectives.
• Provide targeted coaching and mentoring to teachers and middle leaders.
• Design and deliver professional development sessions including workshops.
• Evaluate teaching strategies using student performance data.
• Support curriculum planning to ensure progression and alignment with standards.
• Promote the use of educational technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Contribute to a collaborative school culture that supports teacher wellbeing.
