Job summary

International Community Schools (ICS) in Abu Dhabi seeks a dedicated Primary Classroom Teacher to start in August 2026. You will deliver high-quality lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and support student growth in line with the National Curriculum (UK or relevant framework). The ideal candidate holds a B.Ed.

or equivalent with PGCE/QTS and at least 2 years of primary teaching experience, preferably with UK curriculum exposure. ADEK approval is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a relevant degree with PGCE and QTS
• Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching in a primary school setting (UK curriculum experience preferred)
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of primary education practices
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• ADEK-approved teacher is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across core subjects
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform teaching
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum planning
• Establish positive relationships with parents and provide regular updates on student progress
• Participate in school activities, events, and professional development initiatives
