Inspector, Conformity Engineer

An exciting opportunity is available for a Conformity Engineer, based in UAE who will report directly to the Head of Conformity, International Trade Services.

Summary:

We are seeking for a motivated Conformity Engineer who will do:

  • Evaluation, review, and approval on conformity assessment process.
  • Carries out routine assessment and testing to assure quality, safety, reliability and system integrity, processes, and equipment against relevant/applicable standards.

In this role, you will be responsible of:

  • Maintains the integrity of the company name & brand.
  • Advises on certification requirements and other details for specific product categories.
  • Updates and maintains understanding of international and regional standards and schemes.
  • Ensures maintenance & improvement of competency and qualification as Conformity Engineer as per the required standards and other applicable codes, regulations, and organizational requirements.
  • Provides quality, scientific, and technical knowledge of the products as per the relevant Scheme.
  • Ensures correct and timely issuance of Conformity Certificates.
  • Maintains KPI and targets of the International Trade Services department.
  • Identifies the product specific requirements, standards, relevant scheme and assess accordingly; Prepares Technical Instructions relevant to the products and scheme.
  • Provides timely and effective response to client enquiries regarding product requirement and standards.
  • Identifies non-complying products and maintaining records for the same.
  • Develops and maintains process procedures for the departmental activities.
  • Escalates high risk matters to the Management; ensures client and vendor integrity management.
  • Manages customer relationships and effective handling of customer complaints.
  • Performs other conformity related tasks assigned by management.
  • Compliance to all applicable policies, procedures, and work instructions as per QHSE, ISO standards and legal / regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering/ science in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Food or related field).
  • Pre-qualification with relevant authorities (added advantage).
  • Business & Industry Knowledge.
  • Professional Knowledge.
  • 1 year experience with ESMA in the field of inspection, testing and QC/QA (Added Advantage).
  • Work experience in similar organizations (added advantage).
