Job summary

KEO International invites an Electrical Engineer to join its UAE team. The role focuses on overseeing electrical works on villas/building projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs and safety standards, and coordinating across disciplines.

Candidates should have 5 years of UAE experience and a Diploma or Bachelor in Electrical Engineering; experience on UAE villas/buildings is preferred. The environment supports hybrid working and career development.

  • Experience on villas/building projects in the UAE.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take timely action.
  • Review shop drawings against contract drawings, specs, and local/international requirements.
  • Report works not in accordance with drawings and specifications to stakeholders.
  • Monitor quality of electrical works and assess on-site safety and environmental issues.

Responsibilities
  • Attending to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements, and international best practice.
  • Reporting any works carried out by the contractor that are found not to be in accordance with approved drawings and specifications, and reporting to stakeholders for appropriate action.
  • Monitoring the quality of electrical works and assessing safety on site, including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
  • Maintaining records for daily activities on site, including progress photographs, and ensuring they are readily available for inspection as required.
  • Preparing surveillance reports for deficiencies identified on site and issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required in line with project developments.
  • Checking and ensuring effective coordination between electrical works and other disciplines.
  • Providing technical input and experience to resolve any electrical discipline-related issues that may arise on site.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5 years work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience gained from working on Villas/building projects in the UAE is being looked for.
