Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Marine Inspector to conduct thorough inspections of marine vessels, structures, and equipment to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' marine inspection experience.
• Knowledge of international maritime standards and regulations.
• Experience inspecting various vessels and structures.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations for marine operations.
• Proficiency with inspection software and tools.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Certifications such as NACE or FROSIO (or equivalent).
• Willingness to travel within UAE and internationally.
• Familiarity with UAE maritime regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections of marine works including dredging, reclamation, quay walls, marinas and beaches.
• Inspect hull structures, propulsion systems, safety equipment and navigational instruments.
• Analyze findings and prepare detailed reports with observations, non-conformities, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with ship owners, operators and regulators to address issues and implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated on maritime regulations and inspection techniques.
• Utilize inspection tools and software to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Travel to project sites across UAE and internationally as needed.
• Contribute to improving inspection processes and procedures.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Marine Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab this critical role you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of marine vessels structures and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

• Perform comprehensive inspections of Marine Works like Dredging Reclamation Quay Walls Marinas Beaches
• Conduct detailed examinations of hull structures propulsion systems safety equipment and navigational instruments
• Analyze inspection findings and prepare accurate detailed reports documenting observations non-conformities and recommendations
• Collaborate with ship owners operators and regulatory agencies to address identified issues and implement corrective actions
• Stay updated on the latest maritime regulations inspection techniques and industry standards
• Utilize advanced inspection tools and software to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of inspections
• Participate in safety meetings and provide expert advice on marine safety matters
• Travel to various project sites within the UAE and potentially internationally as required
• Maintain a high level of professional conduct and adhere to ethical standards in all inspection activities
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection processes and procedures

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Marine Engineering Naval Architecture or a related field
• Minimum of 3years of experience in marine inspection or a related maritime role
• In-depth knowledge of international maritime standards regulations and inspection techniques
• Proven experience in conducting thorough inspections of various types of marine vessels and structures
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations related to marine operations
• Proficiency in relevant inspection software and tools
• Excellent report writing and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical findings
• Relevant marine inspection certifications (e.g. NACE FROSIO or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Physical fitness to perform inspections in diverse marine settings
• Willingness to travel to various project sites within the UAE and potentially internationally
• Adaptability to work in challenging marine environments and changing conditions
• Familiarity with UAE maritime regulations and standards is a plus
