Job summary

Mediclinic Group is seeking a senior professional to drive innovation across the organization. The role focuses on building a culture of creativity, supporting ground-up initiatives, and aligning efforts with strategic goals to enable commercialization and sustainable research impact.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years leading innovation programs in healthcare, with experience in hackathons, pilots, and scaling successful solutions, while ensuring alignment with UAE Emiratization requirements.

Qualifications

• 5 years leading innovation programs, open innovation challenges, or business incubation, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience organizing hackathons, commercialization of early-stage innovations and business sustainability initiatives.
• Wamiliarity with UAE Emiratization programs and inclusive hiring practices.

Responsibilities

• Innovation Program Management: Run hackathons, accelerators and open-innovation challenges to surface deployable solutions.
• Ground-Up Innovation and Proof-of-Concept Development: Fast-track ideas through pilots, gather evidence, and convert pilots into live deployments.
• Research and Business Sustainability: Leverage academia and industry collaborations to validate use cases and drive strategic initiatives.
• Platform Development & Deployment: Oversee design, testing, validation, and integration of platforms into clinical and business workflows.
• Commercialisation & Scaling: Create go-to-market playbooks, secure stakeholder buy-in, and manage large-scale roll-outs to maximise adoption and revenue.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To drive innovation within Mediclinic by fostering a culture of creativity supporting ground-up initiatives facilitating commercialization and advancing research and business sustainability programs that align with the organizations strategic goals

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Innovation Program Management: Run hackathons accelerators and open-innovation challenges that surface deployable solutions ready for rapid adoption and to foster creative problem-solving
• Ground-Up Innovation and Proof-of-Concept Development: Support and fast track ideas through small-scale pilots gather real-world evidence and convert successful pilots into live deployments
• Research and Business Sustainability: Leverage academic and industry collaborations to validate use cases drive research and design initiatives that ensure long-term clinical financial and social impact
• Platform Development & Deployment: Oversee the design testing validation and seamless integration of off-the-shelf or partner-provided platforms into existing clinical and business workflows
• Commercialisation & Scaling: Create go-to-market playbooks secure stakeholder buy-in and manage large-scale roll-outs to maximise adoption revenue

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Essential: Masters degree in Business Administration Healthcare Management Innovation Management Health Sciences or a related field

Desired: Certifications in Innovation Management Design Thinking Lean Startup

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Essential: 5 years leading innovation programs open innovation challenges or business incubation preferably in healthcare

Desired: Experience in organizing hackathons commercialization of early-stage innovations and business sustainability initiatives.
